There are many Japanese things that I love, so it is difficult to choose one to write about. Music has always been a big part of my life, and I am constantly playing Japanese music while I study. One of my favorite artists is Kanon Wakeshima.
I first heard her in the ending credits for the anime Vampire Knight. She is a very talented cello player and I love how she dresses! Her music is usually very haunting, but she does have some fun upbeat songs as well, and her voice is pretty and cute.
Above is Still Doll, the first song I heard from her. But if you're not a fan of the creepiness of it, the song below is more cheerful.
I am always looking for new music to listen to, so please feel free to share any Japanese artists you like! じゃあ、また!
I liked both of them (even thought the first one may give me nightmares now). I also liked the English subtitles, which let me pick up on a few points of Japanese grammar (maybe). The Romaji subtitles were also useful so I can begin to distinguish some of the sounds better.
ReplyDeleteYes, I loved the subtitles, they were very useful! Sorry about the first video, I must have weird taste in music.
DeleteIt is my first time heard about Kanon Wakeshima but her voice sounds unique. The surprising thing is after I did some research about her, I found out one of her songs was in the anime "Vampire Knight"!
ReplyDeleteThat's where I first heard her! She does two songs for Vampire Knight! Have you watched it?
